Co-founder and Culinary lead at Foodpairing

More than ten years of experience in Michelin star restaurants have helped shape his unique approach to cooking: turning it into a real science of gourmet assemblies.
Peter has worked for 16 years as sous-chef with Peter Goossens and helped grow the famous restaurant “Hof van Cleve” to its current 3 Michelin Stars. Mr. Goossens taught him all about classic cuisine and gave him time to try out new trends where the main focus has always been combining flavors. Peter is also a qualified Master Sommelier. Then 4 years before founding Foodpairing, he started a hotel-restaurant in Antwerp, “Kasteel Withof’, which quickly won a Michelin star. Peter has also founded Flemish Primitives, a non-profit organisation supporting innovative gastronomy. In his role as Culinary Lead Peter adds a human touch to the Foodpairing(r) Algorithms and helps to make the science more comprehensible. This Belgian chef has a unique approach to cooking: he has turned it into a real science of gourmet assemblies!

He worked 13 years for Peter Goossens, the chef at the famous three Michelin starred “Hof van Cleve” in Kruishoutem between Ghent and Lille. Mr. Goossens taught him all about classic cuisine and also gave him time to try out new trends.
Peter is a qualified Master Sommelier. Then just before starting foodpairing, he started his own hotel-restaurant in Antwerp, “Kasteel Withof’, which quickly won a Michelin star.
Peter is the founder of the Flemish Primitives (a non-profit organisation supporting innovative gastronomy).
